HAPPY NEW YEAR!!....

Wednesday, January 21, 2009

Okay...... I know it's been forever since I blogged but I really do plan on being a little bit better at it in 2009 than I was in 2008. I don't want Wena's hard work to be in vain so here goes.

My motto for 2009 is "Out with the old, in with the new". Now if I could get rid of my "old" job and get a "new" job, that would be a good start for me in 2009. Hint, hint.... Wena & Blanche! Everyone who knows anything about me knows my company sucks big donkey balls. And it hasn't gotten any better. Just when you think you can't sink any lower, the bottom falls out.

Anyhoo... I am going to start "blogging" because it is a sort of reprieve when you just want to scream!!!

MAKENNA'S NEW EYES.....

Friday, October 31, 2008

Makenna got her new glasses and she absolutely loves them. She's only supposed to wear them in the classroom or at the movies as she needs them for distance. But no.... she wants to wear them all day. Dr. Goya told her that her eyes will get worse if she wears them all day. I guess she wants eyes like her Aunties Blanche, Helen, and Wena.

The picture on the left is her this morning at the school Halloween Parade. She insisted on wearing her glasses because she said she can't see the kids in their costumes. Excuses, excuses, excuses... All she needs now are her braces. I think she's going through her Jan Brady phase. Next thing you know she'll be telling her friends that her boyfriend's name is George Glass.

Anyhoo... You know it must be Halloween if my kids are in anything USC. Cause we all know, it's all about the BRUINS baby!!!!

WE WON....

Tuesday, October 28, 2008

Meghan's Asian league team, HD Monarchs, won the VFW tournament that took place in Orange County. First game was against Meghan's homies from her club team, Sarah and Kei. We won 30-15. Our second game was against the Venice Tigers. This game came down to the wire with some really bad officiating but we pulled it out and won 32-30. You know it's time to hang it up when you have to wear a hearing aid and can't even here your whistle when you blow it.

We were now headed to play a team we've never played before, the San Jose Ninjas from up North. Of all the Asisan teams we've played since joining the team, this team was probably the closest to the style of basketball that the Monarchs play. Big inside, shooters outside. Everyone was waiting to watch our game. We won 30-9, they scored the least amount of points of all the teams we played, but it was a much tougher game than the score shows. It was good to play a new team. They were a pretty new team but looks like they're going to be good. Their coaches and parents were impressed with our team and invited us to play in their tournament in April. Road trip!!!

It was a great weekend. Lots of fun and food!!!

Way to go Monarchs!!!

CHAMPIONS.....

YAY.......

My car is finally back in one piece. The body shop put on the running board so now my kids will stop complaining about it. If you follow Wena's blog than you know all about my drama with my car. I swear my damn car was made on the Friday of a long weekend at closing time.

Anyhoo... now all I need is the insurance company to say it was all the other guy's fault for hitting me and everything will be hunky dory. No decision made yet as they are still waiting for the police report from Torrance PD. Get out of the donut shop already and finish my case so I can close the chapter on this flippin' subject. I hope the CAR GODS have pity on me.

Well, at least I have air conditioning in this awful heat!! Thanks Tiff's Grandpa Larry!!

Until next time....

Hmmm....

How was little Ricky conceived if Ricky and Lucy slept in separate beds?
